Laredo Entertainment Center, a $36 million, 10,000-seat hockey arena and regional entertainment venue, needed a modern audio and video distribution system to match its new facility standards. Ford AV was chosen to provide a top-of-the-line sound and DTV distribution solution for the arena, supporting everything from sporting events to concerts and meetings.
Ford AV implemented a system built around Media Matrix control, 13 large speaker clusters, a 32-channel mixing console, assisted listening and intercom systems, DTV distribution, and 136 distributed ceiling speakers. The result was comprehensive coverage throughout the 178,000-square-foot center, including shadow areas, helping Laredo Entertainment Center host high-profile national sporting and musical events with clear, reliable sound and video.
