Hilton Americas-Houston, a 24-story hotel connected to the George R. Brown Convention Center, needed a better way to communicate event, meeting, and guest information across its large 93,500-square-foot meeting and banquet facility. Ford AV provided an integrated audiovisual system using plasma displays, LCD panels, touch screens, and a centralized control network to help guests and staff access timely information throughout the property.

Ford AV implemented lobby and hallway displays, meeting-room LCD panels with automatic updates, and 63 touch screens controlling audio, video, projection, and lighting functions from a central computer. The solution also routed signals through DSP units and a 15,000-foot fiber optic network to 800 speakers in public areas, creating a comprehensive, hotel-wide AV system that improved communication and room/event management.
