FedEx Forum, the 19,000-seat arena home to the Memphis Grizzlies and University of Memphis Tigers, needed a high-performance audio solution that could support sports, concerts, and future hockey events across a large, multiuse facility. Ford AV was brought in to design and install a sound reinforcement system that could deliver full-range, musical-quality sound throughout the arena and its many premium and support spaces.
Ford AV implemented a centralized cluster loudspeaker system with four independent main clusters, thirty-two delayed loudspeaker clusters, and distributed ceiling speakers for concourses and back-of-house areas. The company also added individualized audio systems for suites, club spaces, restaurants, practice courts, and locker rooms, giving the venue flexible control and broad coverage; as a result, FedEx Forum gained a scalable arena-wide AV solution with consistent sound quality across all seating and hospitality areas.
