A Ford AV Case Study
Asbury United Methodist Church, a rapidly growing congregation founded in 1962, needed a much larger, more flexible worship and campus environment to serve more than 2,400 families. Ford AV was brought in to design and install integrated audio, video, and theatrical lighting systems for the church’s 250,000-square-foot, 35-acre facility, including the main sanctuary and multiple other rooms across campus.
Ford AV implemented a full AV and lighting solution featuring variable room acoustics, a digital sound console with an LCR+Sub speaker system, dual rear-projection screens with 6000-lumen projectors, remote-controlled cameras, and touch-screen system control. The sanctuary lighting was fully digitally controlled, with 103 theatrical outlets and 3D lighting planning capability, while additional spaces received tailored systems for worship, rehearsals, meetings, and paging. The result was a flexible, campus-wide multimedia environment that improved worship presentation and support for a range of activities throughout the church.
