Abilene Regional Airport - Customer Case Study
Abilene Regional Airport needed a technologically advanced paging and flight information solution as part of its airport renovation and expansion. Ford AV was selected to design and install an audio/video system centered on IED’s 500ACS paging platform.
Ford AV implemented a system with 66 ceiling speakers, five computers, and four FIDS monitors, along with voice paging and a courtesy announcement subsystem with automated ambient noise control. The result was clearer announcements throughout the terminal and the ability to route individual voice pages to strategically placed flight information displays, improving communication efficiency across the airport.
