Swire Oilfield Services, part of the Swire Group, is a global provider of offshore containers, workspaces and related services operating in 15 countries with more than 500 staff across 28 bases. The company needed to protect customers, employees and assets in some of the world’s most remote locations while contending with fragmented email security from multiple acquisitions, limited on-site IT infrastructure, variable connectivity and a surge in malware and phishing attacks.
Following a successful proof-of-concept, Swire standardized on Forcepoint Web Security Cloud and Email Security Cloud, a cloud-based solution with automatic updates and central management. Within days the high volumes of malware and Cryptolocker were dramatically reduced, spam fell from roughly 20–30 messages per user per day to single digits, ROI was realized almost immediately, and IT staff were freed to focus on business-critical work.
