Southern Communications (formerly Link‑Connect) is an IaaS provider focused on SD‑WAN for medium to large enterprises across Europe, Asia and Africa. As broadband, leased lines and new connectivity options evolved, its in‑house Smart‑Connect bonding solution no longer met enterprise requirements. The company needed a differentiated managed service that supported multiple link types, high availability, bandwidth prioritization/QoS, centralized visibility and next‑generation security to reduce downtime and win larger customers.
Southern Communications deployed Forcepoint NGFW with Secure SD‑WAN, using virtual firewalls in its data center and tailored on‑site appliances, plus optional centralized deep packet inspection and email/web sandboxing. The solution enabled flexible connectivity, easier management and granular reporting; within four years the company doubled its business, now managing 400+ NGFWs, improving network utilization and uptime, increasing revenue and customer retention while delivering greater visibility and simplified operations.
