The National Union of Socialist Mutual Health Insurance Funds (SocMut) is a Belgian non‑profit serving over 3.5 million members and supporting more than 6,000 employees. SocMut’s on‑premises email security had become a bottleneck: it required intensive local management by a single expert, produced many ad‑hoc workarounds, and left the organization concerned about security, cost, and administrative overhead.

After evaluating cloud options and running PoCs, SocMut deployed Forcepoint Cloud Email Security in 2009 and later added Forcepoint Cloud Web Security. The cloud services kept data in Europe, simplified policy management to a single rule, provided granular web controls, eliminated downtime and local training needs, and shifted updates and maintenance to Forcepoint — freeing IT staff to focus on strategic work while improving overall protection.
