A Forcepoint Case Study
The National Investigation Bureau, a government agency in the Philippines, faced the critical challenge of protecting highly sensitive data. This included safeguarding the personal information of its own agents, whose lives could be at risk if identified, and securing the vast amount of citizen data processed through its national clearance system. To meet the requirements of the country's privacy act and secure communications between its many branch offices and headquarters, the bureau selected Forcepoint and its Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) solution.
Forcepoint implemented 90 NGFWs to protect the agency's perimeter, perform deep packet inspection, and encrypt traffic via VPN. The results were immediate and significant, with the Forcepoint Intrusion Prevention System preventing an estimated 10,000 cyberattacks per day. The agency equates this to saving $10,000 daily. Furthermore, the centralized management provided by Forcepoint's Security Management Center gave the agency the visibility needed to make daily adjustments to its security posture, effectively protecting both data and lives.
