A Forcepoint Case Study
The Municipality of Milan, a city government in Italy serving about 11,000 users, needed to strengthen protection for its administrative and public-facing online services—a priority amplified by the high traffic and risk around Expo 2015. Faced with increasingly sophisticated web threats (including APTs), plus concerns about DDoS and site defacement, IT leaders sought a solution that would improve security without disrupting end-user browsing or daily operations.
Milan deployed Forcepoint TRITON AP-WEB (powered by the TRITON ACE engine) with its telecommunications outsourcer and ongoing technical collaboration from Forcepoint. The platform blocks real-time traffic to malicious sites, enforces filtering policies, and delivered a high level of protection while remaining transparent to users—maintaining productivity and strengthening the city’s overall security posture.
