Modernizing Technology for Students While Upgrading Security

St. Andrew’s Episcopal Day School, an independent K–12 college-preparatory in Mississippi with about 1,200 students and 130 staff across two campuses, needed a scalable way to protect students as it moved from a handful of openly monitored desktops to campus‑wide wireless and a 1:1 laptop program. Administrators were especially concerned about malicious pop‑ups, deceptive domains and the impracticality of manually monitoring hundreds of devices.

The school deployed Forcepoint Web Security and later Forcepoint Email Security to provide role‑based, granular filtering, real‑time threat analytics, remote client protection and robust reporting. The solution enabled ubiquitous wireless access (supporting roughly 800 users and 750 wireless devices), reduced spam by about 70%, dramatically cut malware infections on returned laptops, and gave IT flexible policies and easy reporting to keep students safe while supporting modern web services.
