Max Life Insurance, one of India’s leading life insurers with about 10,000 employees across 210 offices, adopted Office 365 to improve collaboration but faced the challenge of protecting critical customer data and ensuring regulatory compliance across managed and unmanaged devices. The company needed visibility into who was accessing data in OneDrive, SharePoint, Exchange and Skype and a way to control access and prevent unauthorized or risky activity.

Forcepoint CASB was deployed—integrating with Max Life’s Airwatch MDM and existing Forcepoint DLP and implemented in-line from day one by partner ACPL—providing real-time activity monitoring, analytics and a consolidated dashboard. The solution delivered granular access controls (by user/group, device state, location, IP and access method), automated response to anomalous behavior, prevention of cloud data leakage without reworking policies, and the ability to extend protection to additional cloud apps.
