Lake Michigan Credit Union (LMCU) is a large Michigan-based financial institution serving over 300,000 members with more than $3.7 billion in assets and roughly 900 employees. Because the credit union handles sensitive member data and faces daily phishing and malware threats, its legacy security tools—disjointed web, email and data controls—left IT with poor visibility, high maintenance overhead and growing risk from external attacks and insider threats.
LMCU deployed Forcepoint’s unified Web Security, Email Security and DLP solution, which simplified administration and was rolled out in three days with a half-day of training. The system has blocked phishing and attempted data theft, reduced helpdesk calls and manual monitoring, improved user awareness of risky behavior, and given the IT team faster, more proactive protection with responsive vendor support.
