An italian equipment manufacturer, a global leader in building factories and equipment for the metal industry, faced the challenge of safeguarding its own sensitive data and the intellectual property of its customers against the rising risk of internal threats. To counter potential data loss caused by insiders, the company partnered with Forcepoint to build a centrally managed, platform-based security solution and train its employees to become security assets.

Forcepoint implemented an integrated solution deploying its DLP and Insider Threat products on a unified platform that also included its existing Web Security and Email Security. This provided the company with centralized control over a unified security framework, enabling more rapid response to internal threats to reduce data loss risk. Employees were also trained in best practices using identified mistakes, which significantly increased the degree of awareness about data exfiltration across the whole company.
