Iccrea Banking Group is an Italian cooperative banking network that provides financial products and services to local credit and rural banks. In 2012 the Group faced fragmented web and email protection across four different security products with complex management and update processes, and wanted a single, centrally managed solution to strengthen defenses and simplify administration.

The Group deployed Forcepoint’s web security, email security and DLP (appliances plus cloud email filtering) to centralize monitoring, reporting and policy control. The rollout delivered fewer help‑desk requests and manual interventions, improved email threat detection (including sandboxing of attachments), tighter, role‑based access controls (e.g., limited social web access), reduced operational costs from consolidating environments, and a scalable, high‑performance platform that simplified IT operations.
