Global Logistics Provider - Customer Case Study

A global logistics provider with warehousing, distribution and transportation operations across Europe, Asia‑Pacific and South America needed to migrate applications to the cloud and cut rising connectivity costs. Their MPLS WAN couldn’t scale for increased cloud traffic, adding circuits was slow and expensive, and aging security appliances offered poor visibility and no centralized management across hundreds of remote warehouses—many without on‑site IT—while the business required top‑tier security efficacy to protect critical supply‑chain data.

The company implemented Forcepoint Secure SD‑WAN and NGFW (1000 series in data centers, 300 series at warehouses) with IPS, zero‑touch clustered deployments and centralized Forcepoint SMC management. This enabled direct broadband connections at remote sites, decommissioning redundant MPLS, substantially reducing connectivity and administration costs, improving threat detection and availability, shortening OS update time from ~40 minutes to ~1 minute with zero downtime, and allowing more applications to move to the cloud with better end‑user performance.
