St. Benedict Preparatory School, a parochial Catholic school in Chicago serving preschool through 8th grade, needed to keep students from accessing distracting or inappropriate web content without impeding faculty and staff. Their existing firewall/router solution couldn’t apply filters on a per-user basis, and the school also required protection for users off‑premises.

Forcepoint deployed Web Security Hybrid in a mixed virtual/on‑prem setup and synced policies with Active Directory so students and staff receive different protections regardless of endpoint. The solution enabled remote monitoring and off‑premises protection without VPNs; in the first 30 days it blocked 250 malicious and 100 adult sites and removed two malware infections on teachers’ devices, improving detection, response time, and overall campus safety and productivity.
