Center for Army Analysis - Customer Case Study

The Center for Army Analysis (CAA) at Ft. Belvoir provides analytical support to the Department of the Army but was hampered by an inefficient workstation infrastructure that required each user to maintain four separate desktops and a KVM switch. This setup duplicated hardware, consumed excessive power, and caused severe delays in moving classified information across multiple networks—hindering time-sensitive analyses in support of the Global War on Terror.

Forcepoint implemented Trusted Thin Client and Trusted Gateway System solutions to deliver secure, simultaneous access to four security domains from a single thin client, using backend servers with Microsoft Terminal Services and Citrix for remote connectivity. The Trusted Gateway enabled timely, multi-directional, and sanitized cross-domain transfers while enforcing strong separation and attack protection; the result was reduced hardware (four PCs to one thin client), lower maintenance and power usage (projected up to ~75% reduction), and faster, more secure access to mission-critical data.
