Brisbane Catholic Education - Customer Case Study

Brisbane Catholic Education (BCE) is the Archdiocese of Brisbane school system with 137 schools serving roughly 71,000 students. BCE’s priority was duty of care: protecting students from inappropriate or malicious web content and managing a rapidly growing volume of internet traffic while supporting a controlled BYOD approach—yet the organization lacked centralized visibility and consistent policies across its many sites.

In January 2013 BCE deployed Forcepoint Web Security (TRITON) as a centralized, scalable solution, giving IT full visibility, unified filtering and detailed reporting to enforce safe web access and support a “Choose Your Own Device” approach. The implementation let teachers use contemporary online resources confidently, reduced help-desk requests, improved threat detection and reporting to leadership, and built stronger organizational security awareness.
