Nyborg Municipality documents 6 noise monitors and 3-4 year barrier plan with Force Technology

Nyborg Municipality faced a challenge with rising traffic noise from a nearby motorway that was negatively impacting residential areas. Existing noise barriers were insufficient, and the municipality struggled to engage the Danish Road Directorate. Force Technology was engaged to assist with a solution using real-time noise measurement and visualization via an interactive noise map.

Force Technology implemented a system of six noise monitors to collect data around the clock, which they processed into graphs and a dynamic noise map. This documentation proved the excessively high noise levels and was crucial for the dialogue with the Danish Road Directorate. As a result, Nyborg Municipality secured national funding for new noise barriers, which are expected to significantly reduce noise over the next few years.
