Nordson Corporation, a global leader in precision adhesive dispensing headquartered in Westlake, Ohio, faced challenges at its Johns Creek, GA facility as a low-volume/high-mix operation: they needed real-time machine performance measurement to quickly detect errors, reduce waste, and continuously optimize productivity while complementing their SAP ERP system. To address this, Nordson turned to FORCAM and deployed the FORCAM FORCE shop floor management technology.

FORCAM implemented a two‑phase solution—real‑time machine data collection, web visualization and alerting, followed by bidirectional SAP ERP integration—so operators and managers could see planned vs. actual performance and act immediately. As a result, FORCAM helped Nordson improve run times by about 5%, increase OEE, reduce undefined stoppages, improve labor tracking and order variance, and eliminate manual OEE calculations, enabling faster, data‑driven continuous improvement across the shop floor.
