Audi, the automotive manufacturer, needed to increase capacity and efficiency in its Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm press plants as model variety and tooling complexity grew. To gain real‑time visibility and continuous performance monitoring, Audi partnered with FORCAM and deployed FORCAM’s Advanced Shop Floor Management Technology.

FORCAM implemented real‑time machine data collection, SAP‑certified integration, role‑based dashboards, Harbour reporting and a seven‑level malfunction indicator across 48 press lines after a pilot and phased rollout. The solution automated KPI reporting and benchmarking, sped error diagnosis and management reporting, and delivered measurable impact—more than 20% productivity improvement in year one and a reduction of a task that once required six people for three months to a single person in one week—while increasing OEE and transparency.
