Video Interpretations provides on‑demand video chat interpretation for hospitals and police but faced a need to modernize and scale its platform — moving from Flash to WebRTC, ensuring HIPAA‑compliant secure calls, faster connections for urgent situations, and a billing/payments workflow that worked across video and PSTN/SIP channels. To meet these challenges they partnered with Fora Soft to deploy the VIS Interpreter platform (VIS Connect) that supports video and phone calls, administrator QA tools, and automated charging and payouts.
Fora Soft’s implementation delivered rapid connection times, encrypted HIPAA‑compliant sessions, PSTN/SIP integration for in‑car police use, and automatic fair charging and payment to interpreters. As a result Video Interpretations expanded to serve 650+ U.S. hospitals and traffic police, grew its interpreter pool to 700+ covering 169 languages (including ASL), reduced per‑interpretation costs, dramatically increased daily interpretation volume, and boosted profitability — all powered by Fora Soft’s VIS solution.
