A Fonteva Case Study

Preview of the Society of Women Engineers Case Study

The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) improves the user experience while reducing a heavy reliance on developers in move from legacy AMS to Fonteva

The Society of Women Engineers (SWE), a 40,000‑member organization supporting women in engineering, needed a more flexible, transparent membership system and wanted to reduce reliance on developers. Their legacy AMS produced cumbersome processes, a 20‑minute join flow, limited bi‑directional marketing preferences, and difficult staff onboarding, so SWE set out to improve user experience and data access.

SWE chose Fonteva on the Salesforce platform, conducted a data‑governance review, rebuilt requirements around core reports, and simplified design and forms so nondevelopers could manage them. The result: a more user‑friendly system giving staff direct access to member data, a five‑minute join process, Pardot integration for two‑way communication preferences and targeted outreach, and faster staff onboarding—allowing SWE to leverage Fonteva for both membership and events.
