The National Association of College Stores (NACS) represents nearly 4,000 campus retail outlets and about 1,000 vendors in the $10 billion campus store industry. Their legacy AMS, implemented in 2005 and heavily customized over time, became costly to maintain—requiring 38 custom integrations, a lengthy six- to nine-month learning curve for IT hires, and nearly all IT resources just to keep basic functionality running.
