The Air Force Association (AFA) is the official membership organization for active and retired U.S. Air Force personnel, providing education, advocacy, and financial support. AFA struggled with an outdated, paper‑based association management system and no centralized database across departments, which left staff unable to see members’ interactions, preferences, or needs and made it difficult to deliver personalized service across 200+ chapters.

Fonteva built a cloud‑based, Salesforce‑native AMS tailored to AFA’s communication, e‑commerce, and workflow needs, consolidating multiple portals and automating renewals, donations, and opt‑ins. The implementation delivered a true 360‑degree member view, saved staff time, increased portal usage and data capture, enabled elimination of three underused membership plans, improved advertising sales, and set the association up to expand Fonteva for events and advertising integration.
