Ecorse Public School System, a small district, needed an affordable, reliable way to keep teachers, staff and parents connected. Their aging NEC PBX was difficult to manage and intermittently failed (including voicemail), and the district sought to reduce operating expenses, simplify multi-campus administration, and enable staff to communicate from home as well as the classroom.
Fonality’s Hybrid‑Hosted solution provided a web-based admin portal and the Heads Up Display desktop client to unify phones, desktops and apps, let IT manage users and view call logs in real time, and simplify transfers and call lists. The district realized more reliable service, faster administration, improved teacher-parent communication and an 80% reduction in monthly communications costs.
