Lokko, a platform connecting healthcare clinics with temporary practitioners, faced the challenge of establishing credibility as a new startup. They struggled with a "chicken and egg" scenario where practitioners were hesitant to sign up due to a lack of job listings, and clinics were slow to post because of a small practitioner base. This lack of visible activity on their new website posed a significant barrier to growth. They implemented Fomo to address this issue.

By using Fomo to display real-time visitor actions and notifications on their website, Lokko was able to provide social proof that their platform was active. This created hype and assured potential users they would not be signing up for an empty service. Although Lokko stated it is hard to track Fomo's direct impact as it was used from the beginning, they reported that their signups grew to over 550, which was meeting their growth targets.
