A Foleon Case Study
Inholland University wanted to improve how it welcomes and retains newly registered students by guiding them from registration to the classroom with practical, honest content that makes students feel at home. To reach a digital-native audience, Inholland used Foleon’s online magazine platform (branded internally as the “Inholland Foleon”) to create interactive, mobile-friendly issues tailored to students’ stage and location.
Using Foleon, Inholland publishes a series of four targeted online magazines—welcome, exam tips, location-specific pre-start editions, and a 100-day follow-up—featuring multimedia, student voices, and easily customizable regional versions. The Foleon-powered magazines achieve 70–80% open rates, drive high engagement with exam tips, intro-week photo reports and app info, allow post-publication edits, and have prompted several academic departments to create their own e-zines.
