EMO, one of the world’s largest ore and coal transshipment companies in the Netherlands, faced the challenge of digitizing its staff magazine "de Grijper" without losing readership. Working with creative agency TextArt, EMO selected the Foleon platform to build an interactive, mobile-first digital edition that would keep employees engaged.
TextArt applied a content-first design on the Foleon platform—using large images, background video and mobile optimization—to relaunch "de Grijper" as an interactive magazine. The results were strong: 90% of employees read the first digital edition within three days, average reading time reached 10 minutes per edition, 50% of traffic came from mobile, distribution costs fell, engagement has been sustained or increased over two years, and EMO renewed the contract—validating Foleon as the chosen solution.
