Sanlam and FNZ complete major migration in South Africa

Sanlam Collective Investments (SCI), one of South Africa’s largest investment management companies, partnered with FNZ to undertake a major digital transformation. The challenge involved migrating a vast number of investors, funds, and partners from legacy systems onto a single, modern platform following SCI's acquisition of Absa Investments, aiming to streamline operations and reduce risk.

FNZ implemented its global wealth management platform for SCI, successfully migrating approximately 66,000 investors, 118 funds, and 498 Linked Investment Service Providers. The FNZ solution dramatically improved efficiency, including a 99.37% reduction in fund onboarding time and a 96.92% improvement in investor onboarding. This enhanced automation allows advisors to focus more on providing personalized customer service, while also introducing new products and improved data quality for SCI.
