Case Study: Stuttgart Airport achieves living, centralized infrastructure management with FNT Software

A FNT Software Case Study

Stuttgart Airport - Customer Case Study

Stuttgart Airport, one of Germany’s largest regional airports and campus providers for more than 250 B2B customers, faced fragmented and unsustainable infrastructure documentation (paper, CAD, Excel) that hampered planning, maintenance and fast fault resolution. To create a single source of truth and a “living managed database,” Flughafen Stuttgart GmbH chose FNT Software’s FNT Command Platform after proof‑of‑concept testing and a phased implementation plan.

FNT Software implemented the FNT Command Platform to capture and centralize physical and logical infrastructure data—documenting 4,429 fiber cables, two data centers, 94 secondary and 225 tertiary concentration points and about 15,000 data connection units—over a three‑year rollout. The platform enabled faster fault rectification (switching tasks that once took hours to minutes), faster contractor billing and QA, and allowed two staff to plan, implement and document the MLAT cabling project in nine weeks, delivering measurable efficiency gains, reduced paperwork and lower operational costs.
