Commerzbank, one of Germany’s largest banks with a high‑availability trading center in Frankfurt, faced costly network outages that could put hundreds of traders offline and generate rapid financial losses. To transparently map its complex IT and physical network infrastructure and support ITIL processes, Commerzbank selected FNT Software’s FNT Command as the central tool for configuration and capacity management.

FNT Software implemented FNT Command with an Oracle‑backed CMDB, importing Excel/Visio data, customizing campus and rack views, and adding signal‑tracing, visual capacity planning and automated workflows. The solution went into production after a five‑month rollout, halved the time required per patch (notably significant given ~1,000 patches/year), sped fault localization and repair, and enabled scalable integration of other sites (e.g., Amsterdam), delivering measurable operational and availability improvements.
