A FMX Case Study
Wylie Independent School District, a fast-growing Texas district serving about 17,500 students across 22 campuses, faced mounting facilities and scheduling challenges after adding thousands of students and nearly 1,000,000 sq ft of space in the past decade. An antiquated facilities management system left work orders disorganized and hard to track, produced inaccurate maintenance data, and forced staff to manage nearly 1,000 monthly events across separate calendars with limited self-service scheduling or reporting.
Wylie implemented FMX as a one-stop, user-friendly solution with mobile access, centralized work orders, and an events calendar with approval workflows. The district added 103 preventive maintenance events, enabled mobile check-ins, and gave users control over reservations—resulting in a 30% decrease in work order resolution time, faster reporting and tracking, improved communication for district-wide events, and better visibility into maintenance costs and performance.
