Suffolk Public Schools, a K–12 district serving nearly 14,000 students across 21 buildings in Suffolk, Virginia, struggled with an inflexible facilities system (Brightly) that forced time-consuming paper processes, limited data sharing, and numerous workarounds as the district grew. After selecting FMX, the vendor imported Suffolk’s data and configured modules for immediate use, provided on-site training, and enabled mobile access so technicians can log time and view real-time tasks. The district gained the ability to assign staff to projects, streamline communication, and see district-wide inventory (with QR codes in rollout), producing faster workflows, greater accountability, and a platform ready for future integrations like BAS scheduling.
