A FMX Case Study
Ozark Technical Community College (OTC), the youngest—yet third-largest—community college in Missouri with six properties, 30 buildings and over 1 million square feet, was hampered by an aging work order system. For years staff relied on spreadsheets and email, technicians had to check back at computers instead of working on the go, and leadership lacked linked data on costs, labor, inventory and asset replacement to drive decisions as the college prepared to open a new 12,000 sq ft facility.
OTC implemented FMX, creating a mobile-first technician workflow and a single system to manage assets, HVAC schedules, preventive maintenance, energy use and capital forecasting. Work tickets now include asset history, manuals and conversations, dashboards show true replacement costs and performance benchmarks, and records are easily shareable—giving leadership total visibility, smoother daily operations and a long-term partner to support future growth.
