Otterbein University, a 2,173‑student campus in Westerville, Ohio, faced a fragmented event process where individual building reps maintained separate calendars and multi‑building events required coordinating with multiple people. With hundreds of unique spaces across campus and the need to honor classroom schedules from the registrar, the university needed a single, campus‑wide scheduling system and an activity calendar that was easy for students, faculty, and approvers to use.

FMX provided a one‑stop system that houses every room, offers Office 365 SSO, configurable request forms, a Reservation Finder, and Banner integration to import class schedules and prevent double‑booking. The public, filterable calendar and weekly reports for campus police improved visibility and safety; last year Otterbein added 57,000 events to FMX, streamlining scheduling, boosting student engagement, and simplifying event publicity.
