A FMX Case Study
Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB), a top-30 global airport covering 3,000 acres, was held back by a maintenance system built for fleet rather than facilities. The team couldn’t track work or preventive maintenance by building, lacked historical equipment data and robust reporting, and faced slow, inefficient work-order resolution.
After adopting FMX, the airport implemented preventive maintenance, location-based work orders, equipment tracking and multimedia attachments, plus fast, customizable reporting that supported budget requests. Results include elimination of reactive chiller requests, a 6× faster work-order resolution time (an 86% improvement), and reports that now take minutes instead of a week—improving safety and overall operational efficiency.
