Newark Academy, a historic grades 6–12 independent school in New Jersey with 675 students across 68 acres, struggled with an overloaded Blackbaud calendar that exposed internal event details publicly, lacked sorting and configurable fields, allowed double bookings, and offered no effective maintenance ticketing. These limitations made it hard for staff, operations, AV, food services, students, and parents to find relevant events and led to scheduling errors and confusion.

By integrating FMX as the master internal calendar while syncing select public events to Blackbaud, Newark centralised scheduling, maintenance ticketing, transportation requests, and custom fields/permissions for different teams. The result: no more double bookings, targeted notifications for operations and support staff, a streamlined community-facing calendar, and faster, less confusing event and facilities management for faculty, students, and families.
