Iredell‑Statesville Schools, a 20,000‑student district in North Carolina with 38 schools, faced a failing work‑order system that left requests lost in a “black hole,” eroded staff trust, and left leadership without accurate workload or spending data. When Tim Ivey became Chief Technology and Facilities Officer, he prioritized a solution that would deliver accountability, clear reporting, and a reliable plan for maintenance and capital needs.
FMX implemented an easy‑to‑use facilities management platform and performed a Facility Condition Assessment (FCA) that inspected buildings, roofs, HVAC, boilers and equipment, delivering photo‑supported condition reports and cost estimates directly into the system. The district gained traceable work orders, district‑wide visibility, a 10‑year capital spending plan, and stronger credibility with the board—enabling better financial planning and ongoing improvements to school facilities.
