Sheffield Hallam University, one of the UK’s largest universities with over 30,000 students, needed to replace its existing asset register and achieve FRS102 compliance before year-end. The university selected FMIS Fixed Assets to meet a tight implementation schedule while improving fixed asset reporting, flexibility, and ease of use.
FMIS implemented its Fixed Assets solution to support FRS102 compliance, including component accounting after a recent asset revaluation, while giving the university fuller asset records, unlimited attachments, and complete asset histories. The standard reporting suite met most monthly, year-end, and ad hoc reporting needs, and FMIS’s support helped the project go live on time, with the main lesson learned being that more time for testing and training would have been beneficial.
