How CHI uses FM:Systems’ Workplace Management Solutions to get easy access to real-time information for more strategic space planning

Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) is one of the largest health systems in the U.S., managing over 35 million sq. ft., 104 hospitals and more than 90,000 employees. As work became more mobile and collaborative, CHI lacked a centralized IWMS to provide real‑time visibility into space, occupancy and moves across nine regions, and needed a solution that staff could adopt quickly with minimal training.

CHI selected FM:Systems to manage space, assets, moves and strategic planning because its graphical interface was easy to use and configurable for non‑technical users. The platform delivered real‑time reporting that improved decision making, sped response to facility requests, and exposed underused space—enabling a consolidation in one region that could save about $10M—and continues to support more strategic, flexible workplace planning.
