Master Liveaboards, a top-tier dive operator running 11 vessels across multiple destinations, needed to improve a payment experience that was mismatched to its booking flow. Customers were paying via PayPal or bank transfer, but currency conversion and international fees often caused shortfalls, creating reconciliation headaches, confirmation delays, and significant write-offs. Flywire was brought in to streamline payments, using its payment request solution and payment portal.

Flywire enabled Master Liveaboards to send invoices with a “Pay Now” link, show totals in local currency, and offer familiar local payment methods so payments could be made in full. The result was fewer customer inquiries, less weekly admin, reduced merchant fees, and faster confirmations; Master Liveaboards said Flywire saved its reservations team hours of administrative work each week. The company also integrated Flywire into new booking and distribution software, helping cut the time to convert bookings into confirmed trips and capture more in-the-moment dive show bookings.
