Online engagement doubles self-service collections. Patients and staff love the change

United Health Services partnered with Flywire to tackle inefficient patient payment processes and low online engagement. Using the Simplee by Flywire platform, UHS aimed to empower patients to self-serve their bills, reduce staff-assisted collections, and improve overall patient payment satisfaction.

Flywire implemented the Simplee digital billing and payments solution, which doubled UHS’s self-service collections (since April 2017) and cut staff-assisted collections by 33% (since December 2016). Patients rated the revenue cycle experience 4.6 out of 5 (N = 12,458) and UHS achieved an NPS of 38, demonstrating measurable improvements in payment efficiency, cost to collect, and patient satisfaction.
