Siemens needed a scalable, secure way to automate uploads from multiple customer sites, distribute data across teams, and provide flexible, role‑based access for R&D, product management and marketing instead of relying on unstructured file‑system sharing.

Flywheel delivered an end‑to‑end medical imaging data management and analysis platform with automatic ingestion, curation, elastic search, role‑based access and a built‑in viewer, plus SDKs for improved upload and access. The centralized Flywheel system let teams focus on insights rather than data wrangling—e.g., a lesion‑segmentation project could quickly identify 200 relevant liver cases—and enabled marketing and sales to create and share collections and automatically route new uploads to internal viewing servers.
