TEXO, a specialized inspection service provider, was contracted by a sugar refinery to inspect its 30-year-old warehouse racking systems. The challenge was to safely and efficiently conduct a full condition assessment of 9,200 joints across five rows, a task that traditionally required prolonged downtime and hazardous work-at-height methods like scaffolding or rope access. Flyability's Elios 3 drone and its new Asset Management software extension were identified as the tools to overcome these obstacles.

Using the Flyability Elios 3, TEXO completed all inspection flights in just five days instead of weeks, drastically reducing site downtime. The Flyability Asset Management extension automatically merged data from multiple flights into a single, comprehensive 3D point cloud without any post-processing. This provided the client with a precise digital twin of the entire facility for analysis and future maintenance planning, impressing them so much they requested direct access to the software to interact with the data themselves.
