United Way of Greater Atlanta Streamlines Grantmaking and Deepen Partnerships with Fluxx Grantmaker

United Way of Greater Atlanta, which funds more than 200 programs across 13 counties through its Child Well‑Being Mission Fund, needed a more nimble grants system after shifting to integrated investment priorities. With rising community needs, remote work, smaller staff and time‑consuming manual processes, the organization had to accelerate grant cycles, reduce administrative burden, and give nonprofits an easier, more transparent experience.

By moving to Fluxx Grantmaker’s centralized platform—integrated with finance and a grantee portal—United Way automated workflows, eliminated data silos, and streamlined contracting, payments and reporting. In 18 months they completed 15 grant cycles, increased annual giving from $60M to $80M (an extra $20M), launched four special funds, cut the typical 5–6 month process to about 12 weeks, and realized a 20% efficiency gain with faster payouts and richer donor reporting.
