The DG Murray Trust is a South African foundation focused on realizing the country’s potential by funding high-impact programs. In 2011 the trust sought to replace an inflexible grants management system that lacked online applications and couldn’t mirror its internal workflows; they wanted a flexible, configurable solution without building a cumbersome homegrown system.

DGMT implemented Fluxx, a cloud-based, configurable grants-management platform with an online application, grantee portal, and API-driven community site. The new system improved grant tracking and oversight, gave staff mobile access to grant information, increased transparency for grantees, and enabled sharing of approved reports—boosting operational efficiency, collaboration, and sector-wide learning.
