A Fluxx Case Study
The Michigan Health Endowment Fund, created to improve the health and lower healthcare costs for Michigan residents—especially children and seniors—found its growing grant program hampered by spreadsheets, emailed PDFs, and disjointed reviewer feedback. The foundation needed a single source of truth to manage proposals, reviewer comments, and the many hand-offs each grant undergoes.
By implementing Fluxx Grantmaker and its reviewer portal, the 10-person team centralized workflows, tracked grants through each stage, and made grantee data easily accessible. The result: review time was cut in half, roughly 2,000 hours saved across 205 grants (about 1–2 hours saved per grantmaking step), faster decisions, and more staff time for strategy and higher‑value work.
