Fluxx Brings a modern Grants Management Solution to The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation

The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation is a New York–based grantmaking nonprofit that supports original research and education in science, technology, and economics. When Anne McKissick joined Sloan she inherited an aging grants system (MicroEdge GIFTS) that constrained operations; the foundation needed a 21st‑century platform to automate workflows, provide dashboards and remote access, support internal and external reviews, track budgets, and improve grantee communications.

In May 2014 Sloan went live with Fluxx Grantmaker. The modern, customizable platform delivered centralized data, improved workflows and decision dashboards, easier migrations and ongoing product development, and stronger collaboration across staff and the wider Fluxx community. As a result, Sloan gained faster, more flexible grants management, and its implementation team has become a vocal advocate for the system.
